Remember those long summer days as a kid when summer seemed to drag on and on and you thought school would never start soon enough? I've got that old feeling again, except this time I'm anxious for Gracyn to start school! It is so boring around here right now at home. There is absolutely nothing to do. Everyday is the same. We play the same toys, read the same books, have the same snacks, eat the same lunch, do some homeschooling work, whine about being bored, watch cartoons, make dinner, go for a walk and go to bed. We are in a rut. Our Thai friends have been back to school for about 6 weeks now, so they are busy and getting out of the house with little ones is a chore. I'll be so glad when school starts so that there are new things to enjoy and friends to be made. Of course Aidan and I will be doing the same things...except that when Aidan naps, I will have 2 hours to myself 5 days a week! Gracyn stopped napping before Aidan was born, so I've never had both kids napping and/or quiet at once! We have just 27 days before Gracyn begins Kindergarten. Her birthday is in 2 weeks and she will turn 5. We will take a vacation in early August and then it will be time for uniforms and crayons. Yippee!
